HMFMC #125

Good Morning All, I am so lucky to be the guest designer for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Blog for the month of July because there are three challenges this month.  YAY!!!
Today we are celebrating the Olympics.  GO USA!!!!

The title of this stamp is "Glorious Feeling" which is, I'm sure, just how this little guy feels as he flies high with his flag.   This image is colored with Copics. I ran both the red and blue pieces of card stock through the Crimper for added punch and dimension.   The rings were made using two punches and just added some (appropriate) gold  to the card here and there.  We will be happy to see cards representing all different countries for this challenge.  This is a totally fun challenge so please join in on the fun this week to see who takes home the House Mouse gold .  Can't wait to see all of your creations.

S & S Sketch Challenge #130

Back again today with a challenge card for Operation Write Home's Sketch challenge.

I decided to go with an Any Hero Card.  It's pretty self explanatory, but I did want to mention that the sentiment was made with a new E K success Layering Punch that I just picked up this weekend.  I inked my embossing folder with Color Box white ink before embossing my Kraft card stock.  I am pleased with the way that came out.  I used my Corner Chomper on two of the edges.  That will do it for me today.  Thanks for spending some time here with me today.  Hopefully I'll get some more cards made tomorrow.  The last half of my week will be busy, so I'm going to try to craft tonight and tomorrow.

A Yorkie Thank You

I hope you will all indulge me for a minute today. I just wanted to post this card this morning because it just made me so happy while I was making it.

I made this card for my wonderful boss and her sweet daughter who gave Molly & Daisey these adorable red, white and blue bows for their hair.  The groomer found that they would not stay in their hair so I decided to put them on their collars.  Daisey (the one on the right) hates the camera so after a dozen tries, this was the best picture I could get for this card.  Thank you for allowing me my happy moment this morning.  I hope to be back again soon with my entry for the OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge.  See you then.

Mid Week Throw Down

Happy Wednesday Everyone, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things after being away from home for 2 weeks.  This week at Stars & Stamps Blog we have a color challenge.  We are to use two or more complementary colors so I went with Purple and Green.

I used a, long since retired, SU stamp from the set titled Garden Collage.  I framed it using SB Square Dies and embossed my image sheet with a Swiss Dot embossing folder and wavy cut the edges.  The sentiment is also from SU.   I added three gold gems from Pizzazz APlenty.    I'm wishing you all a wonderful day and thank you for taking the time to stop by.  Company is always welcome and appreciate here.

HMFMC # 124 Summer Holidays

Well here I am again with the honor of being a guest designer for the second time this month.  So much fun!!

For today's card I went with an image and a sentiment from the "Summer Drinks" clear stamp set.  My background paper is craft card stock and I stamped images from that same set and embossed them with Detail White embossing powder.  I  colored the image with Copics and cut it out with a SB Labels Nine die.  While it was still in the die I traced around the inside edge with a gold uni-ball pen and then sponged with SU's Bashful Blue ink. The sentiment was stamped on a SB Grommet Tag and accented with SU pink ribbon and brads.   I thought some little silver dots would add to the scene and also go with the little Fish charms that I won from a HM challenge back in December.  Aren't they cute?  I'm actually traveling back home today so I have pre-scheduled this post and I hope it appears when it is suppose to.  Have a great fun-filled day today.  Thank you for stopping by.

Stars & Stamps Sketch #129

Hi All,
I know OWH used my samples for this weeks' sketch, but I could not participate or post anything for today.   As most of you know I am in California caring for my cousin, and yesterday things took a turn for the worse so not only do I not have many supplies, but no time or desire to make cards today.  I will be back home soon and hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon.  Thanks for understanding my not posting.

Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #128

I am away from home again, caring for my cousin in California.  I have a very small box of supplies with me and  I really didn't think I would be assembling cards while I was here, so I mostly brought images to color. I did throw a couple of little items in my box and  I was able to scrounge up enough stuff to come up with a card to enter into today's sketch challenge over at Stars & Stamps.  Here is what I have to offer today

I stared with Whisper White card stock for my base and then layered Basic Black card stock, both from SU.  The designer paper is some that I picked up at The Christmas Tree Shop last year.  I  cut some small square from Pacific Blue card stock and added some little crystal gems that I did bring with me.
My sentiment is from Stampin Up that has been retired for many years now. It is one of my favorites for OWH because is can go to anyone.    That's about it for me today.  Thank you all for stopping by here to say "Hello".

HMFMC #123 - Let's Get Fruity

Hi All, I am so excited today because I was asked to be a guest designer over at House Mouse & Friends Challenge Blog for three different challenges in July because I won a challenge last month.  This is truly an honor for me. You should all enter this challenge and maybe you too could win and become a guest designer also.     I love these little meeces so very much and have so much fun creating cards with them.

Our challenge this week is Let's Get Fruity so I went with a strawberry as my fruit.  My image, titled Full of Hot Air, was colored with Copic Markers and cut out with a SB Beaded Oval.  Both the designer paper and card stock are from SU as is the border punch and the punches for the sentiment, which is a Gina K stamp.  Little red gems finished it off for me.    I wish you all a fabulous week and I thank you for taking a minute to stop by to say Hi.
