Good Thursday morning all. My card for today is for the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge found here. We were challenged to use Stars on our cards. I decided to make an Any Hero card for my next Operation Write Home box. I used the Patriotic Cocoa from SNSS. I colored him with Copics andcut him out using Star Nestabilities. As you can see I also used other sized stars on my card. The Sentiment and the Oval punches are from SU. I used a Star Embossing Folder for my background. I lightly brushed the folder with White ink before embossing to give it a very slight sheen. You can see it in person, but not in this photo. I hope you all have a great day and I'll see you again soon.

  1. What a cool card! I love how the BLACK really makes it POP!!

I've been thrilled with our New England winter and can ONLY hope it continues. I really do NOT mind a few cold days, and like you, those are the days I love lighting a fire in the woodstove and spending the day crafting.

I also get spoiled with the warm days and want SPRING to come fast! I'm hoping to go down to Baltimore for the Girls Retreat Weekend in May and think it'll be a blast to finally meet some of the girls I'm online with every day!! I can't wait and hope by then the weather will be fantastic!!

I am also excited for the big game and HOPE we WIN! GO PATS!!!!!!!!

  2. Oh my stars this is a cool card Donna!!! I love the black embossed background and all those die cut stars! You and Cocoa knocked this challenge right outta the park my friend!! Thanks so much for always playing with the Crazy4Cocoa challenges!

  3. Wow, you covered the theme of stars to a T!
    Great card.

  4. Great card Donna!! You rocked the star challenge! I love the colors against the black and Cocoa is adorable!

  5. Like the way you brushed the folder with the white ink before embossing. Awesome card and love all the stars!

  6. I love the contrast of the black background with the colored embellishments. Very striking :)
