A Simple Card for OWH

Good Wednesday morning all.  My card today came about because of two very dear friends of mine, Carol over at Our Little Inspirations and Lynn over at Creative Crafts by Lynn .

The other day Lynn and I were talking about wearing the color orange with grey hair and today Carol make a bunch of fabulous cards for OWH using a Hero Arts stamp set.  I got up this morning and thought I need to combine those two things and make a card.  So as you can see I used some grey (actually silver) and orange papers and I used one of the stamps from the Hero Art stamp set that was made for OWH.  I know one of the simple pleasures I have is watching a butterfly in flight so I dug out this butterfly stamp from Stamp Craft and colored it up with my Copics sticking with the orange theme.  I matted everything with black and I'm pleased with the outcome.  I hope Lynn and Carol are pleased with it as well as all my visitors and the recipient of this card.  I'm going to try to make a bunch of cards for OWH today and tomorrow as I'm getting ready to send off another box to them and I'm trying to fill it as much as possible.  Gotta run for now.  Enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by.

  1. Very pleased indeed!!! The grey and orange look great together! Now I just need to purchase more orange clothes!!! LOL! Love that image and the design you used on this too Donna! Beautiful card!

  2. Superb, Donna! Love the gray and orange. However, red head or gray (yes, I have a few), I just can't wear orange! lol I'll stick with the purples. :-D

  3. YES!!! If you're wondering......I like it a lot! I love the color combination and especially the pretty butterfly! I really like that weathered background too! This should be very easy to recreate in multiples :)
You, Lynn and I should all give one another a challenge each week to make a card! I love how you were inspired to create this :)

  4. I love the color combination. You did a great job pulling it all together.

  5. I like the color combo and how you used it. The butterfly is a nice touch too. Wow, you do some lovely work for this organization!

  6. So pretty, I love the colors and at the fab colored butterfly.

  7. What a funny story! There is sure nothing funny about this pretty card, though! Sorry I have been a bit scarce with the comments, as I have the icky's.
