I'm sorry to say I don't have any Tonic punches, but I do have plenty of others. I guess that means I need to go shopping. LOL.
Today I went with SU's Scallop Trim punch which I just love. I punched two sides of a thin strip of paper. I embossed them with the Swiss Dot ef and then spritzed them with Ritzy Ditzy Copper Glitz before backing them with SU's Basic Black card stock. The sentiment and the snowflakes are both from the Snow Swirled set by SU. I stamped them with Versa Mark and embossed them in gold. Again I used my Swiss Dot embossing folder to dry embossed the background. That may do it for me today. I'm getting ready to head out to have lunch with some friends I haven't seen in ages. Really looking forward to that. I wish you all a fabulous day.
See you again soon.
Gorgeous card, Donna! The glittery strips are beautiful! Wonderful take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteI love how perfectly your punched borders match on each side! I always find that I'm just a tad off when I try that, but this looks great! I love the added snowflakes and embossing too which adds just the right amount of embellishments! Have fun at your luncheon today :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your friends Donna! Sounds like a good day.
ReplyDeleteThis, I LOVE!! The punched strips are so pretty and love the addition of the snowflakes and sentiment in gold. Of course the swiss dots embossing just adds to the beauty!
Love it!

I like the way the scallop trim sort of looks like Christmas tree garland! Thanks for joining us in this week's Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna! I've never tried border punching narrow strips; yours are gorgeous and they really stand out beautifully! Great job. Enjoy the nice weather!
ReplyDeleteI am sure glad I came back and looked, cause I swore I left a comment here yesterday. You did a fantastic job with this sketch, Donna. The sparsely placed snowflakes on the background make it look so elegant!
