Hi All, This week we have been challenged to make a card with a Hi, Hello, Thinking of You + use a die or punch being optional themed cards for our heroes to send home to their family and friends! Here is what I came up with. I had a lot of fun making this one. I used the wing and the stem/leaf portions of the SU build a bird punch. I first took a sheet of white card stock and colored it with three different yellow Copic markers to get a blended look. Then I punched out 7 wings and glued them onto a small 1" circle I had cut from a piece of scrap paper. I used a 3/4 inch punch for the center of the flower. The stem/leaf portion of this flower was made using two of the stems from the bid punch and placing them together to get more length. I then cut the leaves off and placed them where I though they'd look best. I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment on the bottom of my brown panel and embossed it with Detail White embossing powder. The stem part of the flower is very delicate and I was sure it would not make the trip overseas and back to the U.S. so I placed a piece of transparency over it to protect the stem. As you can see I adhered it with four mini white brads. I used a MS punch for the edges of my yellow panel and a SU Polka Dot embossing folder for my back panel. That will do it for me tonight. I thank you for taking a minute to stop by. As always, I love the company. See you soon.
Beautiful flower! And sounds like you put a lot of love into making it. I really like the border punch you used to frame the flower, it really makes the yellow color pop. Great card!
