A very CAS Happy Birthday

I made a very simple  birthday card the other day that I thought I'd share with  you tonight.

I found this 12 x 12 paper with a ton of these flowers all over it, so I cut one out which is an effort for me because cutting is not my thing and I'm not very good at it.  Hubby says it's because I'm left handed, but I even have left handed scissors and that doesn't help me.  In any case, after cutting and placing just this one flower on the card, stamping a sentiment I felt like it was done. This card would be good for a lady that is not into super frilly things.  I have done a few cards with this tan gingham paper this week and  found it worked well for both girl and guy cards. That's all I have to offer tonight, hopefully I'll get to spend a couple more hours in my craft room tomorrow.   I love the beautiful weather we've been having this week, but then I'm always torn as to whether I should be inside or outside.   I wish you all a great night tonight and a fabulous day tomorrow.

  1. All that effort paid off big time! I love this! The flower is beautiful and the sentiment stamped directly on the DP is WOW!! Great job.
It's so hard to stay in the house when the weather is nice, but I'm glad you did today.

  2. I like the simplicity of this card too with the pretty background paper and lovely flower! You hand-cut that flower perfectly too! There's something for everyone out there with the cards we make, and I know someone will cherish this when they receive it! NJ! Enjoy this gorgeous weather!!!

  3. Love the cut out flower, very nice cas Donna :)

  4. Gorgeous, Donna! I'd say your cutting was so worth the effort. This is a perfect CAS card.

  5. Beautiful paper and your flower looks awesome. My hubby is left handed, too. He does write beautifully. Not sure if he cuts things out really well or not...he's never had to do fussy cutting. LOL

  6. Attractive section of content. I just stumbled upon your site and in accession capital to

  7. So glad I had a chance to catch up on your sweet cards this morning. They are all wonderful and this one is great as well (brilliant idea to cut a flower out of some paper to use on this). Many hugz!
