ODBD November Challenge

For November's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs they would like to see "Love You" cards. Here is my card.
I started by stamping Broken China Distress Ink onto my clear block and then stamping that onto white card stock.  A SU image was then stamped in Versamark and black embossed.   The paper is from the Lost & Found collection of a My Minds Eye 6 x 6 pad.   Then I went to my Go TO "love" stamp which is retired from SU! My final touch was to punch out some hearts from the SU! Owl punch set in that same paper I stamped with the Broken China.  I covered them with Glossy Accents and put them in place.  I also made some candy dots with the same paper and was going to put three on the right hand side, but I deferred to Hubby and his choice was to leave it just as it was. Yes, I do ask for his opinion here and there and he is happy to offer it. (good or bad - but the bad is given in a very sweet way -  LOL)   Thanks for popping in today.  See you again soon.

  1. Beautiful job, Donna! The distressed paper must have been a bit of extra work, but, boy, it sure paid off. Love it!

  3. This is so pretty. You did a great job with the ink on your stamp block. I can never get that technique to look quite right, but it's so impressive when it works so well, as it did here. That's a great SU stamp too. You DH was spot on, to suggest leave it as it is. It's perfect! TFS

  5. I came her from Carol's blog and had commented on how her card, made my think of my own little town. And to see you too created a card that very much reminds me of HOME!! Anytime I see the ocean or things that remind me of where we live, it makes me realize how wonderful it can be --- especially in the Summer!!

I only wish our weather was more like that the kids now have in San Diego...wouldn't that be wonderful....a slight seasonal change, but no HOT HOT humid summer days, NO snow and no bitter cold...that's my dream weather!!!

    Love this...

  15. Magnificently done, Donna! Serene and peaceful. I love the idea of using a clear block to stamp your background. I'm definitely going to have to try that -- just as soon as I unpack the box with my clear blocks. :-D
