I'm sorry I've been MIA for a while but I've been busy getting an apartment ready for a young ex co-worker move into. Also we are experiencing close to freezing temps this morning and they say it will freeze by tomorrow morning so we have been busy taking things in and preparing everything on the outside for this weather. Well anyway here is my card for my little, sweet co-worker.
I used a pre-colored image from
Deedee Anderson's set titled "Home Tweet Home" and the sentiment is by her set titled "Home Sweet Home". The heart border is by MS punch and the paper is from my stash. The mats are Garden Green by SU!. Well that is it for me this morning. Wishing you all a warm, pleasant Sunday.
Great card! I'm sure your friend appreciates the help! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Donna! The heart border frames the image beautifully! :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card for your co-worker, and I'm sure she's going to love receiving it! I love the cross-stitch look of the sentiment which gives this a real home-spun feel! It's cold here too, and we had to turn the heat on a few days ago already. Summer whooshed right into winter without giving us much of a fall season this year! Stay warm and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card for your friend Donna! Great image and how sweet you are helping the ex-coworker get their apt ready. Stay warm. Hugz
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and just perfect for someone moving into a new home. Love the heart border at the bottom of the image!
ReplyDeleteIt's not cold here yet and probably won't be for a while. Hope y'all stay warm!
Lynn
Such a sweet card and sentiment, Donna!
ReplyDeleteWe have had some freezing temps, too. Most of my stuff is in! I'm currently in PA for two weeks, where it is still nice, and just a little chilly! Enjoy your day!
What a beautiful card, I would frame it, it's a lovely effect. I'm sure your co-worker will love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's got a bit colder here too, nothing like freezing, but we have been spoiled with late summer heat recently.
Another image I have missed from Deedee's.
Hi Donna. Great house warming card! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great image, and I just love the heart border you added. Yes, this cold is a real shock to the system! We had bouncing hail last night and a rainbow to follow it. My little Della did not like the ground crunching under her paws this morning. She looked up at me as to say "Huh?".
ReplyDeleteVery pretty I love the background and the pretty border to go with the sweet image :) We got rain here in the desert and its supposed to cool down into the middle 80s!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful new home card Donna, such a lovely thought for your co-worker.
ReplyDeleteIt's still relatively warm here at the moment, no frosts yet.

Beautifully done, Donna!! Love the image, background and the heart border!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Aww, Donna, what a wonderful card, she is going to so appreciate it. You are such a sweetheart!!! This I know first hand. Cold here today too, but then the sun came out and it warmed up. We need to put the pond stuff away and get ready to take the filter out and shut down the waterfall. Fish are already not eating, cold makes them slow way down.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you friend
Sue
Fabulous card, my friend! I love that heart border and your choice for the background paper is marvelous.
ReplyDeleteDonna, Gorgeous card. Love the image, the background paper and the border. Got to get things done outside before it gets to cold.
ReplyDeleteHugs Pat
Donna, Saw this featured at DeeDee's and zipped over to say how much I love it! The cool greens look great with this darling digi and especially love the MS heart border as you've used it. Good luck with the freeze. We had about 5 days where it warmed up, have had perfect weather. This morning it's drizzly & the air is much cooler again. We've had a couple frosty mornings, but no freeze as yet. Brrrr. Stay warm. Big hugs & TFS
